SHIP REPAIR - SUPERINTENDENT

Our Ship Repair Superintendents are primarily responsible for managing the technical and operational aspects of a ship. This includes overseeing maintenance, repairs, and ensuring compliance with maritime safety and environmental laws. They also coordinate with various stakeholders like crew, ship owners, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a workforce on-board customer ships, barges, and tugboats for maintenance and repairs.
  • Communicate with Project Managers to develop plans and time frames for efficient workforce utilization.
  • Maintain positive customer relations and facilitate communication between Management and the Customer.
  • Allocate job tasks to appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinate subcontractor work and monitor progress.
  • Prepare reports on costs, inventories, work progress, and schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental and safety procedures.
  • Work with Operations personnel to resolve issues and report to the Operations Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent  with minimum of 5 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

ABOUT OUR DRUG SCREEN PROGRAM
