Once your application with resume is received, it is submitted to a department manager for review. If a hiring manager is interested, s/he will reach out to you directly to coordinate an interview be it phone or onsite. During our simple online application process, you will be required to upload a resume in one of the following formats PDF or Word document.
All applications/resumes are kept on file for 6 months. Your application, should you submit, will remain active for 90 days.
EVERIFY PROGRAM and DRUG/ALCOHOL TESTING PROGRAM
Mare Island Dry Dock LLS is a Federal Contractor. We participate in the federal government's E-Verify Program which is is a web-based system that allows enrolled employers to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Mare Island Dry Dock LLC has implemented a policy of drug screening testing of all applicants offered employment. the use of marijuana that impairs work performance is not a protected activity (though legalized in California) it is still a schedule 1 substance under federal law and may disqualify an applicant for employment. The following guidelines will apply to all applicants offered employment:
An applicant is defined as an individual who has not worked and paid as a W2 employee for this company or a rehire after one year has passed since last date worked.
Only applicants as new hires that have accepted a conditional offer of employment will be subject to our drug testing policies. Testing takes place during new hire orientation (first day) via Saliva Scan. Any new hire that fails to pass the saliva scan will be offered an opportunity to continue drug screening via urinalysis at our lab immediately following notice of presumptive positive result. All presumptive positive results will be conducted via "direct observation" at our designated testing site. New hires who refuse to continue to the direct observation lab testing, will be terminated and processed in accordance with state and federal final pay laws.
ABOUT OUR DRUG SCREEN PROGRAM
If you have reason to believe that you will not pass our drug testing during a new hire orientation... STOP your application until such time you feel you're able to successfully pass the initial non DOT drug screen.
LEGAL WORK AUTHORIZATION
All new hires will be required to provide satisfactory proof of identity and legal authorization within three business day of start date. Failure to submit such proof within the required time, or failure to comply with pre employment screening requirements may result in offer of employment being rescinded and or employment termination.
