CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

McCuen Construction is currently seeking a talented Commercial Construction Project Coordinator for our Northern CA public and private projects region to assist in construction project administrative support. 

Job Summary
To provide support in the overall project to ensure a timely project schedule including a smooth start-up phase 
  • Support Project Managers, Superintendents, and Office Team
  • Assist in the preparation of bid packages including bid bond request
  • Facilitate Invitations to bid for specific scopes and maintain sub listing to assist Project Manager during pre-bid
  • Assist in complining all documentation for bids of a project, and prepare letter of intent and contracts
  • Prepare New Project Sub Contact Lists, Checklists, Tracking and follow up logs
  • Prepare New Project/Job Number and assist with labor compliance criteria 
  • Coordinate and Manage equipment rentals with Project Manager/Superintendent to function at new location with adequate technology, lodging, office and storage
  • Ensure compliance job site with IIPP/Posters, safety supplies and hand handbooks
  • Prepare Preliminary information document per Project
  • Prepare all DAS 140/142 apprentices docs as required and coordinate apprenticeships with Superintendent
  • Assist with subcontractor labor compliance including collecting subcontractor certified payroll reports
  • Submit all dispatched apprentices 411 to HR
  • Track, compile and manage submittals of all scopes per Spec
  • Prepare, track and manage all RFI’s and COR’s of all scopes
  • Review and verify documents submitted by subcontractors are accurate and as required per Spec
  • Maintain uniformity of sub documents by Project
  • Communicate to subs miscellaneous requirements including DIR Project ID to submit eCPR, Live Scan as necessary
  • Maintain Master Sub List as a Functional and efficient tool for Project Manager
  • Submit required closeout documents per spec and applicable scope
Job Requirements
  • Proven project coordinator Admin support experience in commercial construction
  • Advanced knowledge of construction project management processes, means and methods
  • Understanding of all facets of the public works construction process
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages
  • Must be competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Excellent time and project management/organizational skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving capabilities
  • Must be able to demonstrate good math skills (adding, subtracting, calculating percentages etc)
  • Must enjoy working with the public and be able to demonstrate your awesome personality paired with multi tasking capabilities
  • Advanced computer literacy and User level
  • Ability to use common office machines (fax, copier, etc)
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Coordinate, implement and monitor Project Staff, including Sub-contractor contracts
  • Develop and maintain quality relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owner
  • Punctual, reliable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule
  • Self-motivated with positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Adobe DC, Word, and Outlook
  • Must have reliable professional references (min 2 people in a supervisory capacity complete with phone, email, and professional relationship to you)
